Historic Oxford School

Description: This historic 1877 one-room school house was moved from its original location to the new Ironwoods Park. Documentation was done to determine original finishes. At its new location a new foundation with basement for mechanical equipment and storage was constructed. All interior and exterior renovations were done to comply with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation.
Role in the project: Field verification, design development, construction documents, specifications, and bidding and negotiation.

Historic Downtown Storefront Renovations

Approximate construction cost: Cost varied by project; a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) matching grant up to $10,000 was available to each building owner.
Description: Exterior renovation of approximately 40 storefronts. Historical research was conducted to restore most storefronts back to their original design where appropriate.

Pinkerton Elementary School

Approximate construction cost: $2.8 million
Description: Renovation of the original 1920's structure and the 1955 addition to the three-story school. The program included adding an elevator, expanding the library, renovation of the administration offices, renovation of the restrooms on all levels, modifying cloak rooms in the classrooms, complete reworking of the kitchen and cafeteria, improvements to the gymnasium and stage, adding a computer room, adding an entrance canopy, and general finish upgrades throughout the building.
